HQ CHIPPER PARTS Increases Export Volume by 17%
Latvian manufacturer HQ CHIPPER PARTS Ltd., a producer of replacement parts for wood chippers, increased its export volume by 17% in the first half of 2026 compared to the corresponding period in 2025. The strong export growth was driven by the company’s focused business strategy, operational efficiency, and continued investments in production modernization and export development.
The company’s total turnover reached EUR 12.3 million in 2025, representing a 12% increase compared to the previous year. EBITDA amounted to EUR 1.9 million, an increase of EUR 200,000 over 2024.
During the first six months of 2026, 30% of the company’s production was exported to Poland, Lithuania, and Estonia. A further 20% was shipped to France, Italy, and Germany, while nearly 10% was exported to the Nordic countries. The remaining 40% was supplied to other European markets, with a smaller share delivered to customers on other continents.
The company sells approximately 405,000 units annually, including 315,000 wood chipper knives and 90,000 wear parts for wood chippers. The most in-demand products include components for rotor, fan, and screen systems.
“Our growth over recent years has been driven by continuous investment in manufacturing, expansion into export markets, and more efficient business operations. Today, we ship an average of 540 customer orders every month, equivalent to approximately 75 tonnes of products, demonstrating both stable demand and our ability to maintain high production volumes while consistently delivering premium quality,” says Kristaps Kalniņš, Member of the Management Board and Co-owner of HQ CHIPPER PARTS Ltd. “A key factor behind our development has been the modernization of our manufacturing facility in Bauska, together with significant investments in automation and robotics. Over the past two years, we have installed new robotic welding stations and CNC machining centres, enabling us to reduce production costs, increase manufacturing capacity, and ensure consistently high product quality.”
At the same time, the company continues to strengthen its logistics infrastructure. Deliveries to most European customers are completed within three to four business days. To further reduce delivery times in geographically more distant markets, the company is establishing spare parts warehouses across Europe. This approach ensures that the most frequently ordered replacement parts are available locally and can be dispatched on the same day an order is received.
“Our delivery accuracy has now reached 99%, and we will continue improving our logistics processes through close cooperation with our transport partners to provide customers with even faster, more reliable, and cost-efficient deliveries. Our objective is to sustain growth in the coming years by increasing production volumes and revenue while expanding our presence in new markets. In addition to our existing European export markets, we are also evaluating opportunities beyond Europe, where demand for replacement parts for wood chipping equipment continues to grow,” adds Kristaps Kalniņš.
